After the dust settles, you can clean up and make preparations to install the new tile. You will need concrete board, screws, trial, pre-mixed thin-set, grout, and tile. First install the concrete board fastening it with screws to the studs. Then find out which was works best with how you will layout your tile for installation. The particular product I bought worked best If i started in the middle of my space. Be sure to BACK BUTTER your tiles and apply thin-set the wall as well. It is a better method for installing WALL TILE and will ensure that you get the strongest bond to the concrete board. When you back butter it is just spreading thin-set on the back of your tiles. Hence BACK BUTTER. I was able to remove the old tile, go shopping and install the new tile within 3 to 4 hours total. If this is something you need help with please contact Charlie Currie.
